• I'm an International Student, what should I take to University?

  When relocating to the UK from overseas, you will need to bring their personal belongings & devices with them on the flight. Packing a Duvet & Towels leaves very little room for much else, so it’s important to make sure you have bedding and all the essential items pre-ordered to ensure you settle in comfortably, especially if yo are arriving late at night when the shops are closed! Lastly, don’t forget your favourite raincoat – with the UK’s unpredictable weather, it’s bound to come in handy!

• What size bedding do I need to order for University?

  Most UK university beds are Single, 3/4 or Double size. You can speak to your University accomodation and ask them what size beds your room has. We offer bedding in all sizes, so no matter what, so that even if your University has extra-long, bespoke sized beds, we'll have you covered. • How do I know what kitchen equipment is suitable for University Kitchens?

  We've designed our Student Starter Kits to suit any kitchen set-up. All dinnerware, utensils, and extras like baking trays are suitable for any type of kitchen. However, whilst our standard saucepans work on gas, electric, and glass hobs, only induction-compatible pans* will work on induction hobs. We recommend checking with your university to confirm what type of cooker is provided in the accommodation.

  *Induction Hobs – Do You Need Special Pans?

  If your child's accommodation has an induction hob, you’ll need magnetised pans that are compatible with both induction and standard hobs. These are included in The Premium Complete Kit and The Deluxe Complete Kit.

  Please note: Only induction-compatible pans will work on induction hobs. Standard pans will not be suitable.

• Can I send Parcels to the University before I arrive?

  Most Universities don’t allow parcel deliveries before a student has checked in, but that’s where UniKitOut comes in. We partner with over 300 Universities and Private Accommodation providers across the UK, ensuring your essentials are delivered safely and waiting for you upon arrival. Visit our partners page to see who we work with, or in the rare circumstances that we don't partner with your University, you can contact the accommodation team in advance to request to arrange delivery of urgent items, such as bedding.

• How much will shipping my parcel direct to the University cost?
