UniKitOut has significantly reduced its environmental impact by cutting single-use plastic usage by 80% since 2019 and focusing on sustainable packaging to minimise emissions and landfill waste. In addition to these efforts, we've introduced Eco-friendly Cleaning Products, Toiletries, Organic Linen, Bamboo Bedding, and our best-selling Eco Duvet and Pillows filled with 100% recycled plastic bottles, along with blankets made from reclaimed mixed fabrics.

Sustainability isn't just another buzzword for us. From recycled bedding and duvets made from plastic bottles to reducing plastic packaging and encouraging consolidated deliveries, we're constantly looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact. These efforts have helped us achieve EcoVadis Gold accreditation for four consecutive years, placing us amongst the top 5% of all companies assessed worldwide for environmental, ethical and responsible business practices.

Unlike the typical 10-20 individual packages used if bought separately on Amazon or with other retailers, our business model emphasizes the consolidation of deliveries to universities in one vehicle.

UniKitOut is working with DPD whose ambition is to deliver emission free in cities, so they’re creating a network of all-electric micro-depots so that their all-electric fleet are located closer to customers. Shoppers will also get their next-day delivery in a cleaner, quieter and more sustainable way.

Our Student Support Scheme was created to help remove some of the barriers students face when starting university. Through the scheme we regularly donate essential starter kits to partners such as REUK, a fantastic charity helping refugee and asylum-seeking young people access education.

We also help universities stretch their support funds further through targeted voucher programmes, ensuring even more students have access to the essentials needed to feel at home from day one.

We love to “do our bit’” for charities close to our hearts. We work closely with The Care Necessities, which provides a practical care package for Children and their families who have been admitted into Great Ormond Street Hospital for urgent cancer treatment.

In addition to this, we donate thousands annually to charities such as Great Ormand Street Hospital, Blind and Disabled Charities, Cancer Research, Hallmark Care Homes, British Heart Foundation & Give.Help.Share to name a few.
